SweGreen AB (“SweGreen”), a provider of automated indoor farming solutions for hyperlocal food production, has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with UAE-based Urban Agritechs Ltd (“Urban Agritechs”) regarding the deployment of SweGreen’s vertical farming technology in the United Arab Emirates.

The agreement includes an initial plan for the rollout of up to 15 farming units over a 24-month period, with a primary focus on integrating local food production into residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate developments in the region.

Urban Agritechs will be responsible for local deployment, operation, and implementation of the systems under SweGreen’s supervision Farming-as-a-Service (FaaS) model, enabling a partner-driven and capital-efficient market approach.

The collaboration reflects growing international interest in SweGreen’s technology and business model, while allowing the company to maintain operational focus on its core Nordic market.

Urban Agritechs has been recognized in the Deloitte Middle East & Cyprus Technology Fast 50 Impact category for companies driving sustainability and ESG innovation. The company has also participated in industry initiatives and studies focused on integrating vertical farming into future urban development and real estate projects.

This agreement validates the relevance of SweGreen’s technology in international markets while allowing us to maintain focus on our core Nordic operations,” said Anders Eriksson, CEO of SweGreen. “Through a partner-driven model, we can evaluate selected opportunities in regions where demand for sustainable food infrastructure, food security, and climate-resilient urban solutions continues to grow.

The partnership combines SweGreen’s automated farming technology with Urban Agritechs regional expertise in sustainable urban development and real estate integration.

By enabling hyperlocal food production directly where people live and work, the companies aim to contribute to:

• increased regional food security
• reduced dependency on imported produce
• lower transportation-related emissions
• stable year-round production with high resource efficiency, and fresher, pesticide‑free produce for residents

Initial installations are planned to commence in phases during Q4 2026, subject to regional conditions and ongoing project planning.

The structure of the partnership enables SweGreen to explore selected international opportunities through a capital-efficient model without materially impacting the company’s operational priorities in the Nordic market.
